Sandoz develops and produces medicines on a global basis to provide patients worldwide with high quality generics. However, we recognize that, while our industry is global, our customers are still very much local. Because generics markets worldwide are so diverse, our national group companies have considerable entrepreneurial freedom. This principle pays dividends: Sandoz has a strong presence on all continents and is represented in all key generics markets. In many key markets, e.g. the US and Germany, we are the market leader.
