Sandoz gathered 25 years of experience with recombinant products. In 1980, we were one of the first companies to introduce industrial scale fermentation of Interferon Alpha. For more than 20 years we have been producing recombinant bovine somatropin for a US company in one of the largest manufacturing plants of this type worldwide.
Based on this know-how, today Sandoz is offering to our clients state-of-the-art production facilities for recombinant human and animal proteins as well as industrial enzymes. One of our core strengths is the microbial fermentation of recombinant organisms such as E.coli and various yeasts. In this field we offer fermentation at scales of 1,300 L, 3,000 L, 13,000 L and 40,000 L.
