Job Description

Job purpose

To support commercial management in maintaining and improving economic performance by providing financial management information for decision support that meets the needs of users as well as adopting a partner and challenger role when evaluating projects and budgets.

Business planning & analysis activities management:

 Drive P&L performance for the responsible Business Unit;
 Coordinate, prepare and appropriately challenge financial plans – strategic plans, budgets, latest forecasts and latest outlooks;
 Formulate analysis-based recommendations and support the implementation
of the BU strategies;
 Drive the process to achieve sales/profit targets by providing management with transparency, risk assessment, insightful analysis, business cases and potential remediation plans;
 Partnership in resources allocation and evaluation of business cases;
 Provide ad-hoc management reports;
 Implement various simplification ideas;
 Set the tone for good financial practices within the responsible Business Unit.

Minimum requirements

Ideal candidate displays:

 Master’s degree in finance, accounting or economics;
 4-6 years post qualification and relevant financial business experience in a major corporation;
 Proven experience in business partnering and leading financial performance activities;
 Analytical skills;
 Team player with pro-active attitude;
 Fluent English;
 Strong knowledge of SAP and MS office applications incl. Access and Visual Basic;
 Consumer goods or pharmaceutical industry work experience would be an asset;
 Experience in Group reporting (i.e. BPC) would be an advantage/asset
 Other qualifications would be an advantage (ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
