Glenn A. Gerecke holds responsibility for operational functions across all Sandoz’ manufacturing, supply chain and distribution around the world.
Glenn has substantial multi-function global experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, and radiopharmaceutical manufacturing across Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Puerto Rico, and the United States. He joined Sandoz in 2022, having previously held senior operational roles at Phlow Corporation, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and Bristol Myers Squibb.
Throughout his career, Glenn has sought out increasingly complex business scenarios in order to create value. Over the past 35+ years, Glenn has led shop floor and manufacturing support teams, multiple-technology manufacturing sites, regional manufacturing operations, as well as global engineering/facilities and human resources organizations.
I believe that effective organizational leadership should center on developing and engaging people. I’m motivated by the opportunity to build stronger organizations and to grow the capabilities of colleagues and teams, to ultimately achieve business success.
Glenn’s formal university education started with his earning of a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. As his career progressed, he sought out additional formal business education to augment his work experiences. This involved earning Master’s degrees in Business and Management from the University of Massachusetts and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, respectively. Glenn subsequently earned a PhD in Business with a leadership specialization from Capella University, where his dissertation focused on the relationship between Top Management Teams' (TMT) national culture and associated corporate financial performance across the Fortune Global 500 banking industry.
Glenn’s interests include human and animal welfare, world travel, reading in various genres, an eclectic variety of music, and competitive and recreational sports. Glenn and his wife, Eva, have been married for more than 30 years and have grown children.
