As Global Head Ethics, Risk and Compliance, Martin Bischof strives to foster an environment across all levels of the organization that empowers the inherent desire of Sandoz leaders, managers, and associates to do what’s right and to deliver for patients and society with uncompromising integrity. He ensures that ethics, risk and compliance standards are embedded into the core of the Sandoz business and within the company’s way of working. 

Prior to assuming his current role, Martin held several senior positions at the company. He first joined in 2011 as the Chief Financial Officer for Region Western Europe and Middle East and Africa. Since then, he has advanced to a number of other senior financial officer roles before assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer for Europe in 2018. During his stint in this role, he also assumed the role of Head of Region Europe ad interim.

Compliance with laws and regulations is a non-negotiable must. It makes me proud when society and business partners recognize Sandoz for our ethical business conduct, and for aiming to do what’s right all the time.

After earning a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Augsburg in Germany, Martin began his career in the pharmaceutical industry at SmithKline Beecham AG and GlaxoSmithKline AG in Switzerland, before becoming Managing Director for Finance at Novartis Consumer Health GmbH in Munich. Outside of work Martin enjoys spending time with his family, especially outdoors, as well as reading and cooking.
