As Chief Digital Officer, Valerie and her team provide the technology innovations, efficiencies and stability Sandoz needs to drive growth and pioneer access for patients. With the intended spin-off, Valerie is also responsible for growing the function into a world class technology group supporting the end-to-end needs of the company. Valerie partners closely with her fellow Sandoz Executive Committee members to ensure Sandoz gets the most out of cutting-edge technologies and industry leading platforms.
Valerie brings deep experience in developing and executing global growth strategies for international healthcare companies. Her multifaceted approach to digital is enhanced by her 18-years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry across a variety of roles in sales, marketing, finance and digital. In 2020, Valerie joined Sandoz as the Global Head of Digital Strategy for Sales and Operations. In this role she drove the delivery of digital tools for revenue management, supply chain, and end-to-end forecasting. Prior to joining Sandoz, she led teams at Merck-Serono, Boehringer-Ingelheim and more recently GSK, where she drove global digital projects as the Head of Revenue Management and before that, as Head of Finance in the Classic and Established Products Division of GSK.
Our healthcare systems and patients depend on the generics industry to do everything we can to drive access and improve outcomes. Technology will be a key factor in our success; providing us insights and new capabilities that just 10 years ago felt out of reach. Sandoz is primed to lead this technological revolution and I am excited to partner across Sandoz and the broader ecosystem to make it happen.
Valerie’s approach to Technology is as pragmatic as the generics industry itself. She pulls on her expansive background (including biomedical science, finance, supply chain, and sales) to guide her team in agilely converting business need into tangible value.
She holds a BSc. in Biomedical Science and Biology from the National University of Singapore, in Singapore. Valerie earned a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD in Fontainebleau and Singapore.
